Palm Jumeirah is the smallest of a set of three artificial islands shaped like palm known as "Palm Islands". It is located on the coastal area of Jumeirah in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) and is together with other palms, are largest artificial islands created by man.
The island of Palm Jumeirah is primarily a residential area for housing, leisure and relaxation. This theme contains hotels, three types of villas (Signature Villas, Garden Homes and Town Homes), apartment buildings, coastal beaches, marinas, restaurants, cafes and a variety of retail. The Palm Jumeirah will contain over 25 hotels internationally renowned brands including Movenpick Resort Oceana Palm Jumeirah, Moevenpick Resort & Spa Palm Jumeirah, Antara, Fairmont Palm Residence, Radisson SAS, Hilton, Metropolitan, Shangri La, One & Only Royal Mirage, Starwood, Marriott, Oberoi, Kempinski, Chedi, Taj Exotica Reost & Spa and Dusit. Other projects include Al Basri Building, Al Habool Building, Al Anbar Building, Emerald Palace, Oceana, and the Trump Plaza & Marina Residences. The island has 17 fronds in total, 8 on each side and a very small on top. In these are only several villas and small houses, which have pools and private beaches. At the top, connecting with a growing fronds is an underwater tunnel which will become a safe and attractive. The Palm, will contain two identical artificial islands of 140 thousand cubic meters (4.9 million cubic feet) in the shape of the logo of the Palm (a thin palm leaf) on both sides of your trunk.
